In silence she waits
Calmly she states,
“I am dying…”
“I do not know how long I have left.”

Her smile is late,
My reply I contemplate.
Confused and in shame,
I can not say her name.

Her eyes are clear
They show no fear
They search my mind
In distance and time

“I speak not of death…”
I only seek light.”
“I speak not of now,
I only seek night”

Taken aback
My words will attack
“Speak clear and right,
Explain to me your sight”

In reply,
as silent as a sigh…
She begins to cry

“I see a life I have not lived”
“I see a world that does not give”
“I dream of gardens and beauty beyond”
“I dream of a love that will be found”

“I have waited so long,
I have been patient and strong”
“Finally I break,
My walls I forsake”

Then silence

I hear her
Inside
She is right
As clear as light

I can not say her name
She is I and I the same
I understand her pain
I understand her shame

She is not dying a different death
She is not breathing a different breath
We are all running the same race
Although some travel a different pace

Understanding life is one thing, asking questions and expecting answers is another. We can assume all we want that there is a purpose, a meaning, an answer. I believe there is, but why?

Why?

That is the question. Why is there Life? The meaning to the purpose to the question.

Why is there Life?

I don’t want science to tell me of the randomness, the probabilities, the unique and unlikely circumstance of it happening. I want to know why.

Here is a thought. Is the answer too big? Or perhaps the thought is too small? Can we fathom the question, or understand the meaning? Or are we simply answering ourselves? Questions keep spinning until…we stop asking. Our minds not equipped for the infinity of the questions. It keeps going, infinitely circling in our minds, until we forgot what we asked.

What did we ask again?

Oh yes,

Why?

Such a small word, such a large possibility. Perhaps one day it will be not a matter of why, or how… it simply will be,

A question

How can we see
What we are meant to be?

As we drift away
To where subconscious plays

At the end of the day
It is in this way

We do see
We are more free than can possibly be

It is in this place
No body
No space

In our minds eye
We are divine

In this present life
We suffer no strife

We learn the lessons our mind holds
We fear not and shatter the souls mold

Exploring potential
Attempting the  impossible
Attracting the infinite
Decoding the meaning

Why then this vision
Why then this way
Why then do we forget
In the beginning of the day?

Why does our mind shadow secrets
When the answers are already at hand

Perhaps it is in the timeless grains of sand

May we never understand

Wether the beginnings end of the day

It is in this way

For our mind must pass the test

Leaving the answers hidden at rest

For when they will arrive

Only time and mind decide

For now they shall be

Eternally

Infinitley

Patiently

Remaining in dreams

I stand before you now…

I am here to greet you…

for as long as this eternity is…

I have failed to meet you

You look old

You seem wise

your gaze is distant

Can you meet my eyes?

We stare at the reflections, blinded by the truth in our eyes… the mirrored walls capture the pairs, the countless futures hidden behind so many eternal ties… Oh mirror, oh mother, oh sister, oh lover… where have you taken my sight, my future, my plight… when will it all seem right?

Where does the gaze travel?

So far art thou eyes

Where does the truth wander?

Over countless horizons, over infinite skies…

So I beseech thee to answer… can you meet my eyes… can you look into our future and see where it lies… for this is me as well as thee…  for this sight is mine by any given rite… who are you to hold my life? Who are you, if not me by sight?

“I am that I am… I know for what you ask… but do you ponder the meanings of the answers? The burden is mine to bear, so perhaps it is this we share… for you seek not fortune, nor fame… you seek not pleasure, yet perhaps you seek pain… you myself are me through and through… do you think I would keep these things from you? Think before you speak… think before you seek… there is a reason I am old… you may not be willing to carry such a burden when one is given to you… so for now live and learn… for this is your part in me… this is our journey… remember to think before you seek…”

“The older I get, the more questions gather from my minds… “

She smiles from the reflection… This is me… I smile back…

The time came 

Once

In an era of darkness

When the light radiated from within its people

Shined from within their hearts

Lost in darkness yet unafraid

For there lay magic within the minds

Powers within their hearts

And knowledge within their Souls

The time has come once

Again

In an era of light

This time the light outshines the people

The light blinds their hearts

Impairs their minds 

Shadows their Soul

Surrounded by a light of falsehood

The people are unaware to the Soul’s fear

For the people have forgotten the magic

Hushed the voice of the mind

Instead turned to the voice of the machine

The machine which radiates the light we made

I sit here and ponder how lost we can become… life running around us at speeds too fast to comprehend. The oneness, the whole of the world… integrated with time

Yet distancing us from the times we left behind

Our memories

Even before our lifetime we were blessed to have the wisdom of the ages. Blessed and yet too busy to look for the meanings, too busy for once we had them and let them fall silent. Silent as a language not practiced and silenced for lack of confidence. Yet we fear not for we have them recorded. Today they are translated  in our modern world. Categorized, defined and compartmentalizes into easy convenient  truths  easily digested as myth, reality or fact… 

The fact is

We lost the magic, the gift, the wonder of not understanding and accepting… we even define God… The ancients knew God… Through fear and awe… Through nature and the Heavens… Through the body and the mind… through the Soul

I sit here and ponder…

The Seer who lost sight

The witch bound by her own witchery

The wizard with lost wisdom

A prophet to prophesies the past

Yet  the time came once

In an era of darkness

When the people were not afraid

Perhaps the false light shall fail

Will you be able to see?

What Life did you chose?

Which path was yours to take?

What lessons were yours to learn?

What more do we have to do?

I drift into my mind… a place I often view more as imagination than Life…I drift.

I acknowledge my decisions in Life… I acknowledge and am close to acceptance.

We all have stories, Each Life blessed and cursed. Each Life individual yet connected. Each Spirit more free. Each Soul more aware. With each Life…there is always a purpose. Sometimes it is not present until the end…sometimes it is not present until generations pass… Sometimes it is ignored…and time passes until its purpose is remembered and embraced…

We all have stories and we are the authors…

There came a place where silence ruled
Time passed slow
Light stood still.

In this place we were at home
We were boundless
We were infinite

There came a time in this place…When we had to chose a lesson…One we never faced before…

We had to continue learning
We had to continue to grow

In this time, in this place there came a calling for love…there came a calling for support…there came a calling to be the sacrifice…there came a calling to be more…

In this time and place there came a calling for pain… for empathy… for understanding…

Then in this place, in this time… it was time to leave… the time had come to share what we learned… to share what we know… 

One day we will go home. Take with you your story….

Remember this time, this place

You are the author

Speak softly
Listen slowly
Believe truly
It will soon pass

Watch closely
As the winds weep
And the waters grieve
Upon the summers sleep

Whisper and sigh
Let your mind cry
Think upon things

Bring forth the hidden wings

Day and night
Shadows of light
Time and place
Full of wisdoms grace

For want of nothing
For need of something
For understanding and sight
Grant us the vision, be it right

With any amount time
For any amount of space
For any given moment
With every granted space
every moment
every treasure
every smile
every pleasure

These moments are cast 

Placed in the past

For all shall soon pass

But memories, they are last

Return my companion. The one which stood near in the starless of days, in the moonless of nights, casting shadow in the darkest of corners, bringing concealed meaning to the words, giving mystery its hold on the defined.

Return my compatriot. For we belong of the same land, the same time, the same body, the same mind. We are of the same mission, our journey was forged side by side, of the same metal, of the same blade. Grass is grown, seeds are sewn, all in all, sadness was born.

Return my peace. The quiet which grew, the bond which we knew…

“Do not carry the world on thy shoulders, accept your sadness and it shall release”

Return that which belongs to me… for acceptance does release and empty. As the tide does come and go… its waters never leave… displaced and moved… yet still part of the sea…

My waters have evaporated, sadness has went accompanied by the tears. Emptiness is all which remains, along with eyes that cannot shed tears… yet they long for their release…

Return that which belongs to me. For I simply can not be, without that other part of me…

“It feels different, as if a weight has been lifted. Yet it was no burden upon me… I carried it freely… now my mission, my purpose has changed. Who defines happiness and normality? Who names all that should be? Who took my burden which I carried freely? Who took I from my mind? Now look at me, who am I?”

Through a mirror

Dreams last as memories

Twilight fades

The daylight rests

Darkness softly enters

At eventide she appears

Walking to the edge of life

She lingers

She judges not eternity

Believing all is as it should be

Her gaze drawn to the first glimmer

A single star alone in the vast ocean of the sky

Yet the lonely star is far from sight

“You see only the brightest, we are never alone”

She smiles at this truth

She waits

Her smile welcomes her truth

Her acceptance lightens the sky

Bringing reality and light

Entering the deepest part of being

She waits to be

On the edge of time

Her knowledge made of a dream

She watches as it shines

The memories whisper on the edge of the breeze

She waits as it shudders down her spine

And as it comes out her being

The whisper on the breeze

Her wait is over

The memories flood

Time flashes her truth

Reality and Starlight mingle and dance

Racing above the horizon

Teaching with lessons

Shining with purpose

The path entered shall never be crossed the same way twice

The truth taught and learned carries different meaning

Carries different purpose

She waited and learned her truth

She waited and made her judgement

Smiling she crosses the void

The lonely star still in sight

With this vision

She turns and says,

Darkness fades

The evening rests

Daylight softly enters

At daybreak she appears

What say the time… when love becomes divine

When the spirit breaks… leaving behind the wake

The ripples upon water

The shallow darkness falters

What say the time… when knowledge leaves the mind

When the body trembles… chasing the passage of death

Or birth

The breeze escapes the deepest depth

The echos carried upon the softest of breath

What say the time… when the heart slows the spirit

When the soul loosens… the hold is free

It aches in remembering… it beats for life

It awakens… it forgets

What say the time?

What say the time… upon the sacred hour

When the mind and body see

When love and knowledge are mirrored

When the Heart and soul are free

The veil is lifted

And the mirror reflects

The knowing that has been there

The knowledge held with care

The mind, the heart, the spirit, the soul… all hold pieces… perhaps they shall see

Upon the sacred hour

Forever shall they be free

Tell all what you see
Enlighten the soul
Awaken the dream

Show all to your sight
Grant one a vision
Give all the right

Allow but a chance to be free
Spreading the wings of the soul
Releasing the barrier of the body

Guide and teach one of love
Show all the meaning
That none shall rise above

Then as all ask you

All these tedious things
Implore and haunt you
For all which you bring

As one bothers your mind
With puzzles and riddles
The countless have none other than time

It is only the pleading
As one bowes before thee
It is one soul which is aching
To walk blind but for a moment to see

Behind a veil

Beneath a lie
Within the secrets

All answers hide

For mysteries
More questions
Through histories
More lessons

As divinations curse
As predictions maze
The prophecies play
As the wisest may say

“An eternal  quest
A prophetic unrest
Be there ever a test

Lest time in time we will rest”
